Giraffe - Lake Manyara, Tanzania

Giraffes are cool. If you don’t know that then you probably have not seen one loping across the horizon. They are a symbol for peace in Tanzania (two giraffes with necks entwined) but an adult giraffe can kick a lion to death if provoked. They improbably, surprisingly graceful and very beautiful. This is a picture of a Maasai giraffe and was taken at the Lake Manyara game park. Manyara is the Maasai word for the acacia tree.
